In 2018 Francois Blanchard had an exceptionally small grape harvest and so made a little extra beer.
The malt and hops are grown organically in Germany and then the style of brewing is based around spontaneous fermentation. The wort is left in an open tank to attract beautiful lactobacillus and after bottling the beer is given a long rest to develop delicious, refreshing acidity. - Notes by Campbell Burton (importer)
