Responsible for the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape & Priorat, this grape was once the most planted red varietal in the world, producing soft, jammy wines. However, lower yields & old bush vines, such as can be found in the Barossa, make something of a whole different caliber; lusciously ripe raspberry, black cherries, baking spices & white pepper. It is full bodied & ethereal, all in one go.
