The grape behind the famed ‘Bojo’ (Beaujolais). Both have come a long way since the 70s & 80s when the world was awash with the light, crimson, tart Beaujolais Nouveau (released in the November after harvest). Nowadays, when treated properly, this grape produces wines that are bright, red fruited & lip-puckering, as well as purple-fruited, more brooding & earthy.
